NFL Playoff winner!

AFC Championship Wraps Up Playoff Pool
Sixteen entrants were in the running at the start of the Sorrento’s NFL
Pool that was scheduled to end with the Feb. 5th Super Bowl. But a
decisive win by the New England Patriots over the Pittsburgh
Steelers in the AFC Championship match put an early end to the
outcome.  Dave Gemmell, who went into last Sunday’s action with an
undefeated record improved to 9-1 with the New England victory.
Even though he dropped a game when the Atlanta Falcons downed
the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship, there’s no way
anyone else in the field can catch him at this point.
James Hillock and King Kong are tied for second place at 8-2. Hillock
picked Pittsburgh to win the Super Bowl and Kong went with New
England, as did Gemmell.  After winning in the pool during the regular season, Gemmell now
takes the $160 pot for his playoff predictions.  Even though the pool’s already been decided, there’ll still be plenty of
action at Sorrento’s Charleswood Centre on Super Bowl Sunday.
The pool standings are:
Dave Gemmell 9-1
James Hillock 8-2
King Kong 8-2
Bill Robertson 7-3
Charlie Gobert 7-3
John Nowell 7-3
Mike Morrison 7-3
Mike Shindak 7-3
Terry Slight 7-3
Rick Carleton 7-3
Randy Dutiaume 6-4
Al Gobert 6-4
Carlo Marinelli 6-4
Graham Lloyd 5-5
