Total Points Takes the Pot!
For the sixth consecutive week – and nine out of 13 on the season – the ultimate winner of the Sorrento’s NFL Pool was decided by the total points tiebreaker in the Monday night rivalry between the Pittsburg Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
But the real turning point for Brian Nolan came in the Sunday night game when he was one of only two in the 18-player field to pick the Seattle Seahawks over the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Seattle victory moved him into a tie with Bob Stremich and Graham Lloyd, all three opting for a Pittsburg win. With 43 points scored in total, Nolan was the closest at 44 and took the $90 pot.
Al Munro stays at the top in the standings for overall regular season wins at 142, representing a six-game lead over Rick Carleton. John Coss is two wins back at 134, Bob Stremich sits at 133 and Allan Gobert is at 132. Carlo Marinelli, previously in second spot, dropped well back in the standings by forgetting to enter his Week #13 picks!
