Winner NFL pick’m contest

Come-From-Behind Win in Home Stretch

The final outcome for Week #11 of Sorrento’s NFL Pool went right down to the wire in what had appeared to be a two-way battle for the victory.

Terry Slight and Pete Coss were tied at the top with 11-2 records and the Monday night game between the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks was the only one left on the week’s schedule.

The only problem was they both picked Seattle to win, and with Atlanta’s 34-31 victory it moved Alan Gobert and Bob Stremich into a four-player tie. Gobert’s 55 point tie-breaker prediction was all he needed to grab the $75 pot.

It also moved him up in the ranking for overall regular season wins, a title he has taken the previous two seasons. Al Munro is still in the lead with 116, Gobert and Carlo Marinelli are at 111 and John Coss and Rick Carleton have 110. The eventual winner will be awarded an NFL jersey of their choice.

The field is now wide open for Week #12. Even though there are three games being played Thursday, American Thanksgiving, there are still 12 scheduled for Sunday, as well as the Monday night finale.
